Ontario Student Medical Education Research Conference (OSMERC)

The Ontario Student Medical Education Research Conference (OSMERC) was established for students, by students, and aims to provide a platform for research in the areas of medical and health professions education. We encourage research abstract submissions on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to assessment and feedback, curriculum design, novel pedagogies, student and practitioner wellbeing, artificial intelligence in healthcare education and practice, and beyond.

This year, OSMERC will be hosted in a hybrid format on Sunday, January 21st 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (EST). Keynote and oral presentations, workshops, and poster presentations will take place in-person at the Chestnut Conference Centre in Toronto. Oral presentations will be recorded. Trainees from all health professions programs and institutions are welcome to participate!

Abstract submissions will open on Monday, November 13, 2023 and close Friday, December 1st, 2023 at 11:59 PM (EST). General registration will open closer to the conference day. All student presenters must also register to attend; please look out for an email from our team with further instructions.

We look forward to meeting you on January 21, 2024!
